After decades of operating under Lamar Contractors and other affiliates, today we are simply Lamar. This evolution reflects our growth from fuel storage tanks into a regional builder and a national partner for energy assets, disaster recovery, commercial construction, and historical landmarks.
Lamar was founded in 1982 with a simple belief: that honest work, strong relationships, and doing things the right way would always matter. The company began by serving local communities in Louisiana and grew through dedication, integrity, and a reputation for reliability.
As the years passed, we expanded to meet our clients' needs, commercial construction, disaster response and recovery, and critical infrastructure across the United States and its territories. Even as the scope of our work grew, our commitment to quality, safety, and accountability stayed the same.
From the beginning, people have been at the heart of Lamar. Many of our team members have been with us for years, helping shape a culture rooted in trust, communication, and pride in our work.
